The single most common failure mode in facade lighting is treating the display as the primary design object and the architecture as its mounting bracket. It shows up as visible driver boxes, mullion-blocking conduit runs, and a facade that reads as a screen bolted onto a building rather than a building that happens to carry light.
The fix isn’t a better LED product — it’s involving the lighting designer at schematic design, before the envelope detailing is fixed, so the display and the architecture are specified as one system instead of one retrofitted onto the other.
